Lessons in Lisn are organized by difficulty on the 'Courses' tab: easier ones at the top, more challenging ones at the bottom.

Before removing the app, make sure you have a Lisn account to preserve your learning progress.

How do I reset my progress?

To completely reset your progress across all languages, you need to delete your account. Here's how:

1. Open the Lisn app.

2. Go to the 'Progress' tab.

5. Tap 'Delete account'.

If you have an active Premium subscription, it will not be affected by deleting your account. You need to cancel the subscription separately.

Progress syncs automatically — just make sure you're signed into the same account.

Premium on both iOS and Android: sign in to the same Lisn account on every device.

How do I delete my account?

If you have an active Premium subscription, it will not be affected. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription — you must cancel it separately.

How do I change translations in the app?

Tap the current translation language at the top of the lesson screen to change the language that phrases are translated into in Lisn.

It's important to understand the difference: in Lisn, you're learning language X, and translations are shown in language Y. For example, if you're learning English and selected Russian translation, phrases will be translated into Russian.

My paid subscription disappeared. What should I do?

This can happen if the subscription was purchased while you were in the app without signing into an account (in guest mode).

In this case, the subscription is linked to your Apple ID or Google account in the store, but is not linked to your in-app profile.

After some time, the app may not recognize the purchase, and access to premium features disappears.

The subscription is always stored in the App Store or Google Play.
If you sign in with a different account or in guest mode, access may not appear even if the subscription is active.

What to do

1. Open the Progress tab in the app

2. Tap the ⚙️ icon in the upper left corner

3. On the screen that opens, tap Sign Out (in the upper right corner)

4. After signing out, sign in again via Sign in with Apple or Google

After signing in, the app will automatically check the subscription in the store, and access will be restored.

We recommend always signing into the app via Apple or Google.
This way the subscription is saved to your account, and it's easy to restore even after reinstalling the app or changing devices.

Question 10

Can I switch from monthly to annual subscription with a discount?

Yes, you can change your subscription type by selecting a different option in the App Store or Google Play.

To do this, you need to open the subscription settings in the app store and choose a different plan, for example an annual subscription instead of a monthly one.

After changing the plan, the store will apply the new conditions according to its own rules.

All subscriptions are managed through the App Store or Google Play, so app developers cannot change the plan manually or switch subscriptions on their end.
Plan changes only happen through your account settings in the store.

Depending on App Store or Google Play rules, the new subscription may take effect immediately after purchase, or after the current paid period ends.
This decision is made by the app store, not the app.

I was charged immediately even though I expected a free trial. Why did this happen?

App developers do not have access to subscription and payment data and cannot change billing conditions or influence the store's decision.

Why was I charged immediately even though I saw an offer with a free period?

If a user selects a discounted option, payment occurs immediately after confirmation in the App Store or Google Play.

This can happen, for example, if you declined the first offer with a trial period, later selected a discounted option, or subscribed when re-entering the app, where a different offer is displayed.

Before confirming a purchase, the App Store or Google Play always shows the final subscription terms — price, duration, and whether there's a trial period.
Payment only occurs after user confirmation.

The app periodically features special discount offers.
If you've already subscribed, it's best to make the most of the access — regular practice delivers noticeable results within a few weeks.

How do I cancel my subscription?

To turn off auto-renewal, you need to go to subscription settings in the App Store or Google Play and cancel the subscription there.

If you don't plan to renew your subscription, it's better to turn off auto-renewal in advance so the store doesn't charge for the next period.

How do I get a refund for my subscription?

If you want to request a refund, you need to contact the support of the store through which the subscription was made.

App developers do not have access to user payments and cannot issue refunds, cancel charges, or change subscription terms.
All financial transactions are regulated by the App Store or Google Play.

Please note that even if a subscription is made within the app, payment is made to Apple or Google, so billing and refund issues are resolved only through their support.

Can I get a refund if the purchase was made through the website instead of App Store or Google Play?

If payment was made through the website or direct payment, such subscriptions are not managed through the App Store or Google Play.

In this case, you need to contact app support so we can verify your subscription.

What to do

Write to support directly from the app.

1. Open the Progress tab

2. Tap the ⚙️ icon in the upper left corner

3. In the window that opens, select Contact Support

The message will be sent along with your account ID, and we'll be able to find your subscription in the system and verify payment information.

If you write from regular email or a different account, we may not always be able to identify the subscription, so it's better to contact support from within the app.

If you have a receipt or payment email, you can attach it to the message — this will help find the purchase faster.
