These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the LISN website, mobile application, digital content, subscriptions, and related services (“LISN” or the “Service”).

By creating an account, starting a trial, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using LISN, you agree to these Terms.
1. LISN Service
LISN provides access to digital language-learning content and functionality, including audio lessons, educational materials, exercises, transcripts, AI-powered learning features and other digital services that may be made available from time to time.
Access to some or all features requires an active paid subscription or trial.
2. Subscription Plans
Subscription plans, their duration, applicable trial period, introductory price, recurring price and billing frequency are displayed to the user before the subscription is activated.
Depending on the selected plan, subscriptions may be offered on a monthly, annual or other recurring basis.
The price and billing frequency displayed on the checkout or subscription screen at the time of purchase form part of the subscription agreement.
2. Purchase Channels
LISN subscriptions may be purchased:
directly from LISN through the LISN website, promotional pages, creator or influencer landing pages, or other checkout flows operated by or on behalf of LISN (“Direct Website Purchases”); or
through third-party application marketplaces, including the Apple App Store and Google Play (“Platform Purchases”).
Subscription plans may be offered on a monthly, annual or other recurring basis and may include a free trial, paid trial, introductory price, promotional discount or other introductory offer.
Before a subscription or trial is activated, the applicable trial period, initial price, recurring price, subscription duration and billing frequency are displayed to the user on the applicable LISN paywall, checkout page and/or platform purchase interface.
The specific price, trial duration, billing interval and renewal terms displayed to the user at the time of purchase form part of the subscription agreement.
2.1 Direct Website Purchases
A “Direct Website Purchase” means a purchase made directly from LISN through a LISN website, promotional or creator/influencer landing page, checkout page, payment link, or another payment flow operated on behalf of LISN.
This includes purchases made through promotional pages using creator, influencer, affiliate or promotional codes.
For Direct Website Purchases, the seller and service provider is Maibax OÜ, and the purchase is governed by these Terms, the LISN Refund and Cancellation Policy, and the specific subscription terms displayed to the user at checkout.
2.2 App Store and Google Play Purchases
Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed and managed by the applicable platform.
Billing, cancellation and refund requests relating to such purchases may be subject to the applicable platform's rules and procedures.
The LISN 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee described below applies only to eligible Direct Website Purchases unless LISN expressly states otherwise.
Nothing in this section limits any mandatory rights available to the consumer under applicable law.
3. Trials and Introductory Offers

LISN may offer free or paid trial periods or introductory offers for subscriptions purchased either directly from LISN or through an applicable third-party platform.
Before a trial is activated, the duration of the trial and the price that will apply after the trial are disclosed to the user.
Unless the subscription is cancelled within the applicable cancellation period before the trial ends, the trial automatically converts into the paid subscription selected by the user and the applicable subscription fee is charged.
For example, if the offer states:
“Free for 7 days, then €99.00/year”
the user receives access during the 7-day trial and, unless the subscription is cancelled before the applicable deadline, the subscription converts into an annual paid subscription at the price disclosed before activation.
Similarly, if the offer states:
“Free for 3 days, then €29.00/month”
the subscription converts into the applicable monthly paid subscription unless cancelled before the applicable deadline.
Examples in these Terms are illustrative. The actual offer, currency, price, trial duration and billing interval displayed to the user before activation govern the particular subscription.
4. Automatic Renewal
Paid subscriptions automatically renew for successive billing periods unless cancelled before the applicable renewal date.
By purchasing a recurring subscription, you authorise LISN and its payment processor to charge the payment method associated with your subscription for the applicable subscription fee at the beginning of each billing period.
The applicable amount, billing frequency and subscription duration are disclosed before purchase.
Where required by applicable law or payment-network rules, LISN may provide additional notices relating to upcoming renewal or subscription charges.
5. Failed Payments and Payment Retries
If a scheduled subscription payment is declined or otherwise unsuccessful, LISN or its payment processor may retry the payment using the authorised payment method, provided the subscription remains active and no effective cancellation preventing the charge has been received.
A failed initial payment does not automatically cancel the subscription.
LISN will not intentionally initiate future recurring charges to a Visa payment credential after receiving an effective request to cancel the recurring payment, except as otherwise permitted by applicable law and payment-network rules.
6. Cancellation of Subscription
The primary and recommended method for cancelling a LISN subscription is through the user's LISN account.
To cancel a subscription:
Open Settings.
Select Edit Profile.
Tap the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.
Select Manage Subscription.
Select Cancel Subscription and follow the instructions displayed on the screen.
A cancellation submitted through the account is considered successfully completed when the cancellation is recorded by LISN and/or a cancellation confirmation is displayed or sent to the user.
For a trial subscription, cancellation must be completed before the trial period expires in order to prevent conversion to the applicable paid subscription.
For a paid recurring subscription, cancellation must be completed before the applicable renewal date in order to prevent the next recurring charge.
Cancellation prevents future subscription renewals. Except where required by applicable law, cancellation does not retroactively reverse a charge for a billing period that has already commenced and does not entitle the user to a prorated refund for unused time.
LISN may retain records of cancellation requests, cancellation timestamps, subscription status changes and related account activity for billing administration, dispute handling and compliance purposes, subject to applicable data-protection law.
7. Refunds
Except where required by applicable law, subscription payments are final and non-refundable once charged.
LISN does not provide refunds or prorated refunds merely because:
the user did not use the Service;
the user used the Service only partially;
the user forgot to cancel a subscription or trial;
the user no longer wishes to use the Service;
the user cancelled after a new paid billing period had already begun; or
the user did not use all available features or content.
Cancellation affects future billing and does not by itself create a right to reimbursement of fees already charged.
Any mandatory statutory rights available to the consumer remain unaffected.
8. Payment Processing
Payments may be processed by third-party payment processors, including Stripe or other payment service providers.
LISN does not normally store complete payment card details.
Users are responsible for providing current and valid payment information.
9. Delivery of the Digital Service
LISN is a digital service.
Access is normally provided electronically after the user successfully creates or activates an account, trial or subscription.
Subscription activation records, account access records, login records and service usage records may be retained to administer the Service, provide customer support, prevent fraud and establish whether digital access has been supplied, subject to applicable privacy laws.
10. User Account
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for activity conducted through their account.
Accounts and subscriptions are intended for the individual user for whom they were created and may not be sold, transferred or shared except where LISN expressly permits it.
11. Intellectual Property
All content made available through LISN, including audio recordings, texts, lessons, exercises, graphics, software, trademarks and educational materials, is owned by or licensed to LISN and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
LISN grants users a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to access the content for personal educational purposes during the applicable access period.
Users may not reproduce, redistribute, resell, publicly distribute or commercially exploit LISN content without prior written permission.
12. Availability and Changes
LISN may update, improve, replace or discontinue individual features, lessons or functionality from time to time.
We will not materially reduce a paid Service in a manner inconsistent with mandatory applicable consumer law.
Temporary interruptions caused by maintenance, technical problems or circumstances outside our reasonable control do not automatically create a right to a refund except where required by law.
13. Termination for Misuse
LISN may suspend or terminate access where a user materially violates these Terms, engages in fraud, attempts to circumvent security or payment controls, unlawfully distributes LISN content, or otherwise uses the Service unlawfully.
This does not limit any mandatory consumer rights.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LISN is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of the Service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability where exclusion would be prohibited under mandatory consumer law.
15. Governing Law
These Terms and the contractual relationship between LISN and the user are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia
16. Changes to These Terms
LISN may update these Terms from time to time.
Material changes affecting an existing paid subscription will apply in accordance with applicable law. The version applicable to a particular transaction will be the version in force when that transaction or subscription agreement was entered into, unless a later version validly applies.
